Potatoes – the main star of this dish. I am using 3 large potatoes for this baked potato in air fryer.
Olive oil – I am using about half tablespoon of olive oil to rub all over the potatoes. You can use other vegetable oil of your choice.
Salt & Pepper – a simple rub of salt and pepper over the potato skins adds flavor to it and makes us clean up the plate. We eat including the potato skins.
Grated Mozarella Cheese – You can have whatever preferred toppings you want. We use the available mozarella cheese we have. However, you can definitely use other kinds of cheese of your preference.
Bacon – This is our usual go-to topping. We also use it as toppings when we do pizza at home.

How to Make Air Fryer baked Potatoes
Start with washing your potatoes well. We wash our potatoes properly before cooking because we eat the potato skins which is so good when cooked in the air fryer.
Pat dry the potatoes after washing using paper towel. Then rub the potato skins with the olive oil followed by the salt and pepper.
Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket and cook for 30-40 minutes or until fork tender under 400F (204C). Flip the potatoes halfway while cooking to evenly cook them using a tong.
Once potatoes are cooked, transfer them to a plate. Poke the top of the potatoes, carefully making an opening on top of it. Using a fork, mash the potato pulp and top it with the grated cheese and sliced bacon.
Return then to the air fryer basket and cook for another 5-8 minutes or until your toppings is cooked.
Remove them from the air fryer, serve and enjoy immediately while warm.
What is the Air Fryer Baked Potato Time
Cooking baked potato in the air fryer usually takes 30-40 minutes. However, different brands have different heating capacities so better check your potatoes from time to time.
How do you know if potatoes are already cooked? Simply prick the potatoes with a fork or tooth pick and if it pierced through the potatoes easily then it is already cooked. If it is still hard when you prick it, add some more cooking time.
Can I Bake Potato in Air Fryer With Foil
We do not use foil when baking them in the air fryer so that the air can circulate easily all over the potatoes, thus cooking them faster.
How to Make Air Fryer Twiced Baked Potato
This recipe can be considered twice baked potato as you first baked it when you cook the potatoes and then bake them again to cook the toppings.
You can bake your potato only once when you do not want toppings to it and if you pair it with other delectable proteins such as this chicken broccoli and mushroom or this turbo broiled pork chops.
