I am used to eating pasta that has meat to it as my husband is a carnivore. When I tasted this Gigi Hadid pasta, it is so delicious that I cannot tell that it is vegetarian. There is no meat at all in it.

Gigi Hadid Pasta Recipe Ingredients

Pasta

Choose a pasta that can hold a sauce well like penne, rigatoni, shell, bow pasta. These pasta binds well with the sauce of this recipe making it delicious in every bite.

Gigi Hadid Pasta Sauce

  • 1/2 cup olive oil – use a good virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic – for that garlicky flavor
  • 1 medium chopped onion – red onion or white onion will do
  • 2/3 cup tomato paste (150 ml) – this gives our sauce that lovely color tasty flavor
  • 1 cup heavy cream (250 ml) – makes this pasta creamy and yummy
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes – gives heat and spicy flavor to this pasta
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning – I am using this because I have no other dried herbs as of cooking. You may use dried oregano instead.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt – don’t forget the salt for flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper – for a peppery flavor
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese – this gives nice texture to the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter – for additional flavor
  • 1/4 cup pasta water – don’t forget to reserve some pasta water when you cook your pasta
  • fresh basil and chili flakes – for garnish

Cooking Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Set aside 1 cup pasta water. Drain the rest of the water and set aside pasta.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet under low medium heat.
  3. Add garlic. Cook and stir until aromatic.
  4. Stir in onions. Cook until translucent and aromatic.
  5. Add the tomato paste. Cook and stir, about 4 minutes.
  6. Add the heavy cream. Mix well.
  7. Season with the chilli flakes, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper.
  8. Add in the cheese and mix well.
  9. Add unsalted butter for more flavor.
  10. Put in pasta water and mix well.
  11. Stir in the cooked pasta and fold to the mixture.
  12. Transfer to a serving plate. Share and enjoy.
