Growing up, paksiw is one of the dishes that our mom cook often so I really love it.  There are many variations of paksiw and you can choose whatever kind of protein you use.

You can use lechon for lechon paksiw, paksiw na pata or pork hocks.  You can even make paksiw made of vegetables.  My mom used to make paksiw made of spinach leaves mixed with fried fish and using tomatoes as a souring agent.  It is so delicious as well.

  3. lady’s finger
  4. garlic
  5. onions
  6. ginger
  7. peppercorn
  8. water
  9. vinegar
  10. Salt

How to Make Paksiw na Isda Bangus

Making this recipe is so easy.  It is also very fast to cook.  You just need to dump all the ingredients at once in a cooking pot and simmer it and cook for 10-15 minutes and it is done.

Ingredients

  • 1 pc Big bangus (Milkfish) around 500-600 grams, chopped
  • 1 pc Eggplant chopped
  • 2-5 pcs Lady’s finger
  • 5 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 medium-sized Onion chopped
  • 1 thumb Ginger sliced
  • 1 tsp Peppercorn
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Vinergar
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  • Put all the ingredients in a cooking pot.
  • Simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes.
  • Transfer to a serving plate and serve.
