Equipment

Ingredients

  • 6 slices Pork Chops
  • 1 Onion sliced in rings
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 teaspoon Corn Starch for slurry

For marinade

  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Calamansi or lime juice

Instructions

  • Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, ground black pepper, garlic powder and calamansi juice or lime juice and marinate with the pork for 3 hours or overnight.
  • Saute onion in oil and set aside.
  • Fry the pork until brown using the same pan.  Remove pork from the pan and saute the garlic. Put back the pork and pour in water and the marinade sauce. Cover and simmer until pork is tender and sauce is reduced.  Add slurry to thicken the sauce. 
  • Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with the pre-cooked onions and serve.  Enjoy.
